Bluecore Energy just raised $10 million to build small modular nuclear reactors on floating barges — and it’s headquartered inside the Port of Long Beach, with the first barge and test reactor already delivered. The pitch: a reactor parks offshore, cools itself with seawater in a closed loop, refuels every few years, and covers roughly 15,000 homes or one major port.
