Cognitive offloading, like using GPS instead of memorizing routes, is fine, but Doug Shannon warns it can slide into cognitive surrender, blindly accepting AI output without applying your own thinking. Zero-shotting a prompt and shipping whatever the model returns isn't strategy. And running internal processes through foundational models means handing over one of your most valuable assets: your IP.
