Base Power just raised $1 billion at a $13 billion valuation. They install big batteries at homes — about 100 a day, with an Austin factory producing thousands a month. Here’s the model. A home battery normally runs $10,000 or more. Base charges $95 to $695 upfront plus a monthly electricity subscription.
