After the coyote attack on our homestead, where we lost some of our goats and chickens, building this fence became so much more than a DIY project. It gave me space to grieve the loss of our animals. It gave me the opportunity to show myself that I am capable of protecting the ones we still have and the ones we'll welcome in the future. It didn't erase the heartbreak or the guilt I carried after that day, but it became part of my healing. It became part of the journey toward forgiving myself.…
