Shadin is not only a dental student, she’s also an artist—and she brings her artwork into the care of her patients. When explaining procedures and care to patients, Shadin often turns to her hand-drawn sketches. She walks patients through what’s happening—mapping out tooth structure, showing areas of concern, or illustrating how a procedure will unfold.
