SpaceX has agreed to acquire Cursor in a $60 billion all-stock deal. Cursor, which was launched in 2023 by Anysphere, has become one of the fastest-growing AI software companies, reaching billions in annualized revenue and widespread adoption among developers and enterprises. The acquisition is expected to close in Q3 2026, pending regulatory approval. With this move, SpaceX expands beyond rockets and satellites into software, adding one of the most widely used AI coding tools to its portfolio.
