We’ve heard - pretty constantly - over the last year+ that so-and-so lab has achieved AGI. I actually just heard it again today. But just nine days ago, Demis Hassabis, cofounder and CEO of Google DeepMind, whose goal has been AGI since its inception in 2010, said that his estimate is 2030, and that existing architectures for AI models currently lack these required-for-AGI properties.
