Why would I want to turn my hypothetical children into caretakers against their will if I could avoid it? Kids aren’t retirement plans. Before anyone comes for me, I retired my mom & glad I could afford to. But the reality is most people will barely be able to retire themselves much less a parent. So plan for your own retirement and don’t count on your kids. Most aren’t even visiting their parents after they get dropped off at the nursing home.
