Eating lunch at your desk in an open floor plan is a humiliation ritual. 😅 Nothing makes you feel more like a little hamster on a wheel than quietly munching while answering emails. Not every 9-5 is like this but many are and it’s been normalized. I used to get comments for taking lunch every day. Meanwhile lunch was just another hour of hustling just to keep my personal life from falling apart. Yet another reason why I couldn’t wait to quit & retire early.
