Night sky at the Very Large Telescope (VLT) in Paranal region in Chile. So much to see in this photo: The Milky Way, Large and Small Magellanic Clouds, The Coal Sack Nebula, Starlink satellites, green-orange atmospheric airglow (due to strong aurora activity Jan 12th), road lighting leading to the VLT, and a sodium laser emanating from the observatory to correct for atmospheric distortion.
