A$AP ROCKY’s new video for HELICOPTER has some of the craziest visuals you’ve ever seen. And no, it’s not AI. It’s 4D volumetric capture surrounded with 3D animation. It’s a technique called gaussian splatting. The production capture team, @evercoast, captured about 10 terabytes of raw data, rendering roughly 30 minutes of final splatted footage.
