This Waymo somehow assumed that a light rail track in Phoenix was a normal lane of traffic — forcing a bystander to flee as a Valley Metro train started approaching from a few hundred yards behind. Once the passenger exited, the robotaxi kept crawling down the track, then stopped as a train approached on the other track — and, to add one bad decision to another, eventually started reversing.
