I don't think GPT 5.5 and Fable 5 are that different in terms of raw intelligence. GPT 5.5 is smart. It just keeps doing stupid things. Fable 5 is smart. It does fewer stupid things. But "does fewer stupid things" compounds until it feels like "is much smarter". That is it.
